What You Write Down Could Make You Highly Successful
by Gene Griessman, Ph.D.
author of “Time Tactics Of Very Successful People”
I learned this concept from Mary Kay Ash of cosmetics fame.
Every evening, before turning off the lights, I ask myself, “What are the most important tasks I must do tomorrow? Then I write down those tasks. I limit myself to no more than six or seven. (Mary Kay limited hers to six. She called her list “The Six Most Important Things I Must Do Tomorrow.”)
Mary Kay completed her list every day before she left the office. You may want to do the same thing. Or, you may decide to create your Must List first thing in the morning or just before switching off the light at bedtime.
Whatever time you choose, this system forces you to decide what is really important for the day. You may not get to everything on your master to do list, but be sure to do everything on your Must List. There’s no way to do everything you’d like to do in life. The Must List forces you to do the right things.
