Love America or hate it.  It is impossible to be indifferent toward it.

In 1950 the great Welsh poet Dylan Thomas  described the United States as  “This vast, mad horror, that doesn’t know its size, or its strength, or its weakness, or its barbaric speed, stupidity, din, self-righteousness, this cancerous Babylon.”
